Statement

By communing with love and mourning as seasons of the same emotion, my work reconciles the selfish and selfless parts of myself. My drawings and prints, often paired with writing and verse, explore the emotional geography of a pre-colonial Ireland and the hesitant vulnerability of figures swathed in fabric.
Wildflowers and blushed knuckles are spots of warmth in austere compositions that, achieved through the monastic ritual of carving and pattern-building, stand as monuments to flaw rather than faith. My artistic practice relies on both careful planning and blind trust in intuition’s wisdom. By publicly processing my emotions, I look to help others through the same work.
